Are you a home theater nut looking to jazz up your TV room?

The Polk Audio SR-H1000 Sirius home tuner is the product you're looking for. It has that sleek, contemporary look to match your theater, but has the functionality to perform tasks beyond regular Sirius home tuners. With the display of channel, channel name, title, and artist on your TV screen, you can see what you're listening to from across the room. Connected by either optical or RCA a/v cable, this unit is a smart addition to any home theater.

The SRH-1000 looks impressive with its dark graphite shading and black body. The front face is a hybrid of touch sensitive buttons with the ability to change and control everything. The remote is slightly bulky, but has all the common features like mute, standby, and navigation controls. The remote also has the ability to change the tuner, if you had a Sirius Home connect dock connected. That would allow you to listen to two different stations of Sirius, in two different zones. With the amount of features this unit has, it is hard to find a home where it's not welcome.

The ability to use RS232 can also be an asset for any business looking to add Sirius. The ability to have two zones is also a plus for businesses because you can have a jazz channel on the retail floor, like "Spa 73," and have your backroom employees jamming out to "80's Hair Nation." Everyone wins!

After testing this unit, I realized it definitely does bring a lot of cool features to the table. Although not being able to see the internal menu from the TV screen is slightly disappointing. The setup was simple and fast, it took me longer to get it out of the box than to set it up! This unit displays the channel, channel name, and song/artist right on your TV screen. After a long period of rest, the unit will minimize the information and bounce it around your TV screen to avoid burn-ins. This unit held up well after long hours of use and was cool to the touch, which is key for high-end electronics. The screen takes a moment to refresh after a channel has been selected, but the quality put in to building this unit is very apparent in its construction. Its solid metal body and seemingly indestructible faceplate really does make for a "Siriusly" solid investment.

The SR-H1000 incorporates features like:

- Sirius Replay with 44 minutes of pause, fast forward and rewind
- Presets and S-Seek Alert, GameAlert, and My GameZone
- Connects via RCA stereo cable (included)
- 5-12v remote trigger input
- Rack Mounts

The SR-H1000 can really make you feel like you have the world of commercial-free Music, Talk/News, and Sports right at your fingertips.
